Necklace Size Guide

The perfect necklace size will vary by chain length, circumference of your neck, size of the pendant and your personal style. Use the following guide to determine your ideal necklace length.

Method 1: Measuring Tape

For this method, you will need a flexible measuring tape or a piece of string.

  1. Wrap the measuring tape around your neck, to the length you desire. Be sure to allow room for comfort.
  2. Compare that length to the size chart below.

Method 2: Piece of String

  1. Measure and cut a piece of string, to same length as the necklace you desire.
  2. Place it around your neck, to determine where it falls on you. Be sure to consider the size and shape of the pendant.

Method 3: Using a Necklace You Already Own.

  1. To determine your Pretty Dainty fit, use a necklace you already own and compare where it falls around your neck, to the size chart below.

Jewelry Lengths and Names

  • 12” - 14” Collar - Wraps around the neck.
  • 14” - 16” Choker – Falls at the base of the neck.
  • 16” - 18 Princess - Usually falls against the collarbone
  • 18” – 20” Pendent – Falls between the collarbone and bust
  • 20” – 24” Matinee – Falls at the top of the bust.

Reminder: The key to stacking and layering jewelry is finding that perfect balance. Be sure to consider size, shape, and pendant sizes. Use the guidelines provided to determine how you want different necklaces to fit on you when worn together.
